In a single day, you will go from your first look at the instrument panel to feeling the aircraft respond to your movements. Your instructor handles take-off and landing, then helps you safely try basic manoeuvres during the calm portion of the flight.

After take-off, your instructor lets you fly: you practise holding a heading and altitude and making gentle turns.

Back on the ground, you review the flight, talk through the experience and explore possible next steps in aviation.

Different training aircraft may be used for trial flights. Each offers its own perspective on the character of flight and the way the controls respond.
